Applied Linguistics is a broad and interdisciplinary field that leads to a range of successful and fulfilling careers where an understanding of language is essential.Tune in for an Applied Linguistics Graduate Programs Webinar on Thursday, April 30th at 6:00 PM to learn more about the Montclair State's exciting offerings directly from the program's faculty:

The Applied Linguistics (MA) provides students with solid training in the fundamentals of both general and applied linguistics, as well as a broad knowledge of several areas of specialization within applied linguistics.

The Teacher of English as a Second Language (Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification) prepares candidates for additional New Jersey P-12 certification in teaching English as a Second Language.

The Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Certificate) prepares students to teach English language skills abroad or to teach adults in the U.S. The entire program can be completed in two semesters of full-time study.

  1. If students need to upload several pages into one pdf, Microsoft Office Lens is easy. Here is a SHORT video if it. 
  2. Not a MS school? Kami allows your to combine and split PDFS, as well as annotate and run OCR

Internet Equity 

Altice/Lightpath and Comcast have opened all their hotspots with no username or password and no need to sign up.  Allowing many students internet. Comcast is also offering I believe 90 days free of internet and then goes to $9.95 per month for low income.

The Caldwell – West Caldwell Public School District deeply mourns the loss of Mr. Jim Brown, Principal of Grover Cleveland Middle School, who passed away this week from COVID-19. Mr. Brown was a vibrant educational leader in the district for fourteen years. He was Vice Principal at James Caldwell High School for six years, and since August 2012 had been Principal of Grover Cleveland Middle School.
