TITLE: Work Smarter, Not Harder! Harnessing Technology Tools to Enhance Literacy Instruction

This course will provide participants with an overview of several technological tools that can be used to improve and streamline instruction in reading, writing and thinking. These tools include: Turnitin.com, the Google suite of productivity tools, Wall Wisher, Inspiration software, and Quizlet. The instructor will provide an overview of the technological tool, its applications in her classroom, and potential assignments using the each tool. Participants will then have hands-on time to try each tool and create assignments that will be relevant to their teaching.
**Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a laptop or other wireless device to the class to maximize their learning of these tools.
Target Audience: English, Social Studies & Special Ed teachers of grades 6-12 (Science and Math teachers with a focus on literacy instruction are also welcome!)
Limited to 25 participants. Must attend both sessions to receive PD hours.
