New Jersey public schools have reported a surge in bias incidents in the classroom since the November 2016 Presidential Election. This workshop will help educators respond to bias effectively in order to develop welcoming classrooms for all students.
Learn about cutting edge scholarship on social justice, hear from antiracist teachers, and meet civil rights leaders who believe public schools have a special role to play in securing American democracy.
Event is free, registration is requested, and space is limited. Teachers and student teachers may earn professional development hours. Public parking available (for a fee) in the Red Hawk Deck.
