Historically, exclusionary, discriminatory, bias and harmful practices have hindered students and educators from thriving. This live interactive workshop incorporates reflection, collaboration, and wellness to provide a framework for having transformative conversations about multiple forms of oppression with students & colleagues. Participants will receive practical application strategies, and resources.
 

Ashley Y. Lipscomb (she/her), Co-Founder, The Institute For Anti-Racist Education, Inc. - Ashley Y. Lipscomb (she/her) is the Co-founder & CEO of the Institute for Anti-Racist Education, Inc. She has experience working with, motivating, and advocating for students and educators. A graduate of Hampton University (BA English and Master in Teaching), Harvard Divinity School (MDiv), and Montclair State University (Certificate in Supervision), Ashley has led several committees focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion in both K-12 and higher education settings. She has committed her life's work to the liberation and healing of her community, and she believes that education is the sight where a more just world can be reimagined and created.
