Beginning in 2020, NJ law requires that the topic of disability be infused in appropriate places in the curriculum. This workshop covers a conceptual understanding of disability as a natural form of human diversity, and aims to equip educators with necessary tools to meet this mandate. We will consider ways to infuse anti-ableism content within the curriculum, and invite students to position themselves as agentic in building inclusive schools and communities.
