TITLE: A Shift to the Next Generation Science Standards
DATE: Wednesday: April 1, 2015
LOCATION: Montclair State University-Science Hall: Sokol Room
TIME: 9:00 AM-2:30 PM
INSTRUCTOR: Brian Carey & Kim Feltre

This workshop is designed for administrators and lead teachers and will provide attendees with a knowledge of the shifts in instruction and assessment associated with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), how the three components of the NGSS work together to formulate the performance expectations, and how the science and engineering practices impact instruction. Attendees will leave with a better sense of how to implement the NGSS, what professional development their staff will need to ease this transition, and what key components an evaluator should look for in a NGSS-based lesson.
