TITLE: Learn and Explore 20th Century Modern Dance Repertory

In this workshop, participants will learn and explore excerpts of significant dances from 20th century modern dance repertory including Doris Humphrey’s “Courante” from Partita, Paul Taylor’s Aureole, and Yvonne Rainer’s “Chair Pillow Dance” from Continuous Project Altered Daily. Discussion on the significance of the dances and their places in dance history will follow the movement experience. Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to move!
