Title: Interpreting ACCESS for ELs Scores
Date: May 12, 2015
Time: 4-7 PM
Location: Central Middle School, Route 46 West, Parsippany, NJ 07054 - Room 403
Instructor: Noreen Drucker

The end of the year is upon us and the results of the ACCESS Test loom in the not so distant future. We will have the scores and the cut offs- but what does all of that mean? This course will look at the structure of the test, the scoring and the implications. The features of academic language as they pertain to the assessment will be reviewed. The different kinds of scores and reports as well as their purpose will be discussed. Through a series of activities and interactions, the participants will learn to work with the performance definitions and the can do descriptors. Both of these will help them analyze the proficiency level of their students so that they can be more successful in their academic studies. Noreen Drucker is a WIDA Certified Trainer
