Early Childhood Inquiry into For Me, for You, for Later: First Steps to Spending, Sharing and Saving

This workshop is designed to help early childhood educators use dialogical teaching approaches with their students with a goal toward developing their capacity to make critical decisions and considerations around the concepts of Spending, Sharing and Saving. In the workshop, teachers will be introduced to a new curriculum designed by the folks at Sesame Workshop and exposed to the Community of Inquiry approach to facilitating classroom discussions. Upon completion of the workshop all teachers will be provided curriculum packets to distribute to students in their class and offered an on-site follow-up visit by the workshop instructor in support of their efforts. Additional support materials will be offered to help start up the particular For Me, for You, for Later projects developed by teachers.
The full-day workshop will explore the following themes:
1. For Me, For You, For Later and Philosophy of Value, Saving and Sharing
2. Designing Community of Inquiry-based Discussion Plans
3. Development of Site-Based Financial Education Program

Registration for this workshop is closed.
MSUNER will provide 6 professional development hours to participants who attend the entire workshop.
