Description: In efforts to close the academic achievement gap, it is imperative for school counselors to examine the impact of culture on achievement, attainment, and resource distribution for marginalized students. In response to the reported inequities of academic success for this broad population, join us in the journey of exploring your own cultural identities and the potential effect on school counselor-student relationships. Strategies will be provided to enhance multicultural competencies when working with culturally diverse student populations.
