This workshop is designed to help teachers empower their students to become responsible digital citizens in our ever-globalizing world. The session will cover the basics of digital citizenship, focusing on device management and usage, cyberbullying, and online safety. Attendees will learn how to provide language and conversation to engage with their students about the impacts of technology and social media in and out of the classroom. They will also learn communication strategies for families on how to manage device usage. This interactive hands-on session will provide an opportunity for teachers to share their experiences and learn from one another. By the end of the workshop, you will have a better understanding of how to empower your students to become responsible digital citizens and you’ll have the tools you need to make a positive impact in their classrooms. Refreshments will be provided.
