TITLE:  Embedding History Into Your Dance Courses and Dance Into Your History Courses

In this session, we will learn 3 social dances from different eras that can be utilized in teaching dance and/or history and social studies. A discussion will follow on the background and time period of each dance and how one might develop a unit from this foundation. There will also be discussion of the benefits of experiential learning.

Wear comfortable clothes in which you can move easily.

Intended Audience: Teachers of Grades 3rd-12th.
